Opening a grow operation is similar to regular business with its progressiveness. It is treated like alcohol and regulated by the Oregon Liquor Control commission.

 

Applicants are expected to submit a detailed record of their growing operation

• Background Check
• Name & Contact Information
• Legal entity
• State registration number
• Building 1,000 feet away from education facilities

Financial Requirements:

• $500 Application Fee (Non-Refundable)
• $3,500 Registration fees

How much money in the Market?

For 2020, sales reached $415.2 million by the end of May, up 40.2 percent compared to 2019.

Cannabis businesses have remained open throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, with social distancing in place. Online orders, often paired with curbside pickup, have surged. Although it remains a small portion of overall sales, home delivery has taken off, as well, with sales jumping from $271,888 in May 2019 to $1.38 million this May, a 409 percent increase.
