As of December 2018, here is what Nevada has approved so far:
Patient Medical Cards Approved: 14,633
Recreational Cannabis Dispensaries: 55
Commercial cultivation licenses: 182
Commercial Grow Licenses: (Available for sale)
Owner requirements:
Municipalities reserve the right to ban or place moratoriums on the license of growing operations if they do not comply with local regulations. You must do your research before getting into the area too avoid being penalized and never getting to own again in the state. Applicants are required to use seed-to-sale tracking software to account for their entire inventory.
Financial requirements:
To purchase a Nevada marijuana cultivation license a one-time application fee of $5,000 is required.
The Department may require payment of an annual licensing fee not to exceed:
- For the initial issuance of a license for a marijuana cultivation facility: $30,000
- For a renewal license for a marijuana cultivation facility: $10,000
- For the initial issuance of a license for a marijuana product manufacturing facility: $10,000
- For a renewal license for a marijuana product manufacturing facility: $3,300
How much money is in the market for Cannabis?
Estimated sales of recreational cannabis in Nevada are expected to reach 250 billion dollars by 2021, so the competition for licenses is going to be fierce, since there are no more for sale. Must be bought from an existing owner.
